Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew, who played Dr. Jackson Avery and Dr. April Kepner in season six, have been promoted to series regulars. James Tupper has been cast as Dr. Andrew Perkins, a trauma counselor, for at least two episodes in the seventh season.[56] It has also been revealed that April Kepner and Jackson Avery will be moving in with Meredith and Derek this season.
